Terms & Conditions
TRADING TERMS FOR WHOLESALE CUSTOMERS
Credit accounts are available at the discretion of SMP to customers with an acceptable credit history who intend to become regular customers and are bonefide parts dealers.
Terms can be agreed after written application and approval. Please email us to discuss. Standard terms are 7 days or 30 days from invoice date.
Title to any goods supplied by SMP on credit terms remain the property of SMP until payment is settled in full by the purchaser.
ORDER PROCESSING
SMP business hours are Monday to Friday 6:00am to 6:00pm Australian Western Standard Time, if you place an order outside of these hours, we will process it the next working business day.
PRODUCT WARRANTY
All products sold and distributed by SMP are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months.
Claims made under this warranty policy must be submitted to SMP and be supported by a sample or other suitable evidence (eg digital picture) of the failed product and a clear description of the failure and why it is considered to be a legitimate warranty issue.
SMP reserves the right to inspect the failed product and the application/environment/conditions that the product has been used in prior to assessing the claim. Customers are urged to check with SMP if they are in any doubt about the suitability of a part for a particular application before purchase.
Failure as a result of fair wear and tear, misuse, abuse, over-loading, incorrect fitting/mounting, the effects of a corrosive environment or lack of adequate maintenance is specifically excluded from this warranty.
SMP reserves the right to repair or replace, at its sole discretion, any products or parts of products it deems to be faulty. This warranty does not cover the cost of fitting any replacement products or parts of products or any incidental costs resulting from failed products except as required by Australian consumer law.
REFUNDS
If the parts you receive are not correct please contact us immediately to arrange their return and a refund. SMP accept goods for return up to 14 days after date of purchase. Products being returned for a refund must be in the original condition as supplied. Items that are damages or have been used or modified will not be accepted for refund.
Please retain a copy of your invoice/receipt as proof of purchase.
DELIVERY LEAD TIMES
Parts orders for “off the shelf” products are shipped the same day or the next working day. Products requiring assembly or are not in stock we will advise an estimated lead time and the the order will be treated as a "back-order". Our aim is to ship these in the minimum possible time but because of the obscure and rare nature of some parts no guarantee of delivery lead time is given. We endeavour to keep adequate stocks ofproducts and components featured online to ensure in full, on time delivery.
